Raipur: Three-day National Tribal Dance Festival and Rajyotsava to begin on November 01

Preparations for National Tribal Dance Festival and Rajyotsav are at the final stage
Tribal dancers from ten countries reached Raipur
The three-day National Tribal Dance Festival and Rajyotsava are going to begin on November 1. Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the event at 11 am in the Science College ground of Raipur. The main stage, pavilions, stalls, entrances of various departments, and other such arrangements are nearing completion to welcome the guests. The main stage, pandals, and stalls are being beautifully decorated. The rich culture, traditions, and folk arts of numerous tribes from around the nation and overseas, including those from Chhattisgarh, will be witnessed during this festival hosted by Chhattisgarh for the third time. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the tribal culture of Chhattisgarh and the National Tribal Dance Festival is gaining a new global identity.
Many guests from various parts of the country and abroad have reached Raipur to participate in the National Tribal Dance Festival and many more are on the way. Till now dance crews hailing from 9 countries- Mozambique, Mongolia, Tongo, Russia, Indonesia, Maldives, Serbia, New Zealand, and Egypt have reached Raipur. As many as 1500 tribal artists including 100 artists from nine countries and all the states and union territories of India will participate in the National Tribal Dance Festival.
Shilpgram to showcase the unique collection of artifacts
Shilpgram will have 40 stalls built in the middle of the Science College grounds where a distinctive collection of artifacts created by renowned artisans, artists, weavers, and self-help groups of the state can be explored. It will also feature household items, artifacts, decorative creative objects, bell metal items, iron crafts, woodcrafts, bamboo crafts, and clay crafts for sale and display.
21 government departments set up stalls at the event
During the Rajyotsava at the science college ground, 21 stalls are to be put up by various State government departments for highlighting their schemes and programs. These include the Agriculture Department – Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture Department and associated departments, the Department of Energy, the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, the Department of Urban Administration and Development, the Department of Public Relations, the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Tribal, Scheduled Caste and Development, and the Department of Backward Classes and Minorities Development Department, and other departments. Various models, pictures, and audio-video short films of departmental schemes will be showcased in the stalls. People will be informed about departmental schemes and achievements through pamphlets and brochures.
Delicious food will be available at Food Zone
The food zone will have 24 stalls where guests can taste other mouthwatering treats in addition to Chhattisgarhi cuisine.
Stalls to be put up by various industries and public undertakings
The theme Hangar at the Science College will be decked up with booths from various industries and public undertakings. The theme Hangar will include booths from a variety of industries, including BALCO, BSP, SECL, NTPC, and NMDC. There will be 40 commercial stalls put up at the designated location. There will be a healthcare center available at the place along with ‘book fair stalls’.
